Community Support for “Raise the Wage” Campaign Continues to Grow

The number of organizations supporting the Working Families United for New Jersey, Inc. “Raise the Wage” campaign grew to 172 this week, and we thank the following organizations for their recent statement of support:

  • Edith D. Warren Grand Chapter
  • International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 35
  • Pennsylvania Joint Board Workers United

In addition to the growing number of new partner organizations, we have taken our efforts to the streets with our voter registration van. This week volunteers went door-to-door in the Trenton communities of Wilson/Haverstick Homes and Prospect Village. This provides an opportunity to educate community members about the opportunity to raise the minimum wage on this year’s ballot as well as the importance of participating in the democratic process.
