Support the Letter Carriers’ 22nd Annual Food Drive to Combat Hunger in our Communities

On Saturday, May 10, 2014, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) will once again conduct its national food drive with the support of more than 1,200 postal branches, thousands of volunteers, various labor and community organizations, and millions of postal customers like you. If you haven’t donated before, getting involved is easy:

  • 04-30-NALC-food-drive-art.jpgSimply, put your non-perishable donation in a bag by your mailbox for pick-up on Saturday, May 10th.
  • Your letter carrier will deliver it to a local food bank, providing a meal to a family in need.

Remember that every donation counts no matter how small or large. Last year letter carriers all across America collected more than 74.4 million pounds of non-perishable food. Let’s see if we can top that number this year.

As a coalition of over 256 labor and community organizations, Working Families United for New Jersey, Inc. is proud to support the NALC Food Drive which provides a simple and direct way to uplift the families in our communities.

Hunger is a preventable problem, and we have the means to overcome it. In fact, there is no challenge we can’t overcome when we all work together and all pitch-in. By doing so, we build stronger communities for the benefit of all.
