The “Raise the Wage” campaign commends the many town councils and Freeholder Boards which have passed resolutions in support of Ballot Question #2 and for joining us in the effort to raise awareness for this critical issue. This is just the beginning of our coalition’s efforts to achieve broad-based support from our elected officials.
There are thousands and thousands of workers in New Jersey who are struggling to get by despite having two or three jobs. A minimum wage increase would go a long way to helping these workers make ends meet and provide a better foundation for economic advancement.
Workers who have seen their standards of living eroded over the years despite working harder than ever are due some relief. A minimum wage increase is a win-win scenario that would provide an economic boost to working families and encourage greater consumer spending.
Thanks to all of our “Raise the Wage” coalition partners who are working tirelessly to ensure that all of our elected officials realize the need for a minimum wage increase and understand the good it will do for workers, our communities and our state.
