Join to show your support for New Jersey “earned sick days” at our campaign kickoff next month in Trenton. Providing all workers with the ability to earn and take paid time off if they or a family member get sick is a benefit many of us already have, but all of us deserve.

In New Jersey, there are approximately 1.2 million workers (37 percent) who do not have access to earned sick days. As a result these workers are often faced with the unfair choice between a paycheck and being able to care for themselves or their loved ones. This is a choice no one should ever have to make.

Our campaign will seek to educate the public and our elected officials about the importance of establishing an earned sick time law in New Jersey and illustrate the specific benefits provided to workers, businesses, and the broader community.

We urge all of our community partners to join us for this important event. Not only will this be an opportunity to join together as a coalition, but we will also have a valuable opportunity to hear and learn from legislative leadership and the prime sponsors of earned sick leave in the Senate and Assembly.

It is time to do what is right for workers, businesses, and the community and make earned sick days a universal benefit in New Jersey. We look forward to your participation in our campaign and our kickoff event on June 16th.
