Last year, Working Families United for New Jersey, Inc. (WFUNJ) pioneered the concept of hosting comprehensive grassroots citizenship clinics to empower and help immigrants on the path to the American Dream.
On behalf of the We Are One New Jersey - Hudson County Center (WAONJ), we would like to personally invite our WFUNJ allies to participate in our Hudson County Center’s first Citizenship and Deferred Action (DACA) clinic:
Date: |
Saturday, January 31, 2015 |

We Are One New Jersey |
If you have any questions or to RSVP, please contact We Are One Executive Director Eduardo Meza at 201-209-2839 or via e-mail at [email protected].
The goal of the Citizenship and DACA clinic is to provide assistance at no-cost to New Americans residing in Hudson County who are eligible to become U.S. citizens and to those who qualify for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
The initiative is part of the largest and most comprehensive grassroots-based civic engagement project ever created in New Jersey. Under the initiative, volunteers from immigrant groups, legal community associations, civil rights organizations, and student associations, among others, will conduct the following activities at each event:
- Citizenship Application Assistance
- Citizenship Fee Waiver Application Assistance
- Voter Registration & Education
- DACA Application Assistance and DACA Renewals for DREAMers
- Translation and Free Public Notary Services
We Are One New Jersey plans to hold at least three clinics in Hudson County in 2015. We would proudly welcome your presence and participation.
