Working Families United for New Jersey, Inc. conducted two successful voter registration drives this week. The van’s first stop this week was the Trenton Library on April 4, 2013, where we were greeted with an overwhelming response. Libraries are a community’s beacon of knowledge and opportunity, and our voter registration team provided a natural complement as we provided an education on critical state issues such as this year’s minimum wage ballot question and the opportunity to register to vote and make our voices heard.
Today, the van made its way up to a Newark mosque, Masjid Imam Ali K. Muslim, and was once again met with great enthusiasm, registering dozens of community members to vote.

Our voter registration activities are ramping up, and we look forward to multiplying our success in the weeks and months ahead. Working together we will continue to empower communities to make their voice heard in this election and to support our campaign to “Raise the Wage” for New Jersey’s low income families.
