Voter Registration Van is on The Move

Library_Voter_Registration_1.JPGWorking Families United for New Jersey, Inc. conducted two successful voter registration drives this week. The van’s first stop this week was the Trenton Library on April 4, 2013, where we were greeted with an overwhelming response. Libraries are a community’s beacon of knowledge and opportunity, and our voter registration team provided a natural complement as we provided an education on critical state issues such as this year’s minimum wage ballot question and the opportunity to register to vote and make our voices heard.

Today, the van made its way up to a Newark mosque, Masjid Imam Ali K. Muslim, and was once again met with great enthusiasm, registering dozens of community members to vote.

The van is available to all affiliates and community partners which know of locations or events where we can register voters. Please CLICK HERE to suggest upcoming voter registration sites for the van, or contact Alex Gomez at 609-414-6566 or [email protected]or Dave Ponton at 609-462-9282 or [email protected].

Our voter registration activities are ramping up, and we look forward to multiplying our success in the weeks and months ahead. Working together we will continue to empower communities to make their voice heard in this election and to support our campaign to “Raise the Wage” for New Jersey’s low income families.
